Quiet Solutions™ Wall Panels

Acoustics Associates line of Quiet Solutions™ products are manufactured in-house to meet the needs of any space.  Our Quiet Solutions™ panels can be custom-designed to fit the exact requirements of your project in style, size, and sound absorption levels.  Our panels will both enhance the look of your space, and reduce levels of unwanted noise.

Options for customization include:

Standard Absorptive

This multi-purpose panel is ideal for use on walls or ceilings. It is the most commonly used panel for the absorption of sound.

  • Construction: 6PCF glass fiber core, reinforced edge protection. Full fabric or vinyl wrap.
  • Thickness and NRC Ratings: 1/2″ 10PCF (.55-.65), 1″ (.80-.90), 1 1/2″ (.90-1.00), 2″ (1.10).

Impact Resistant

This panel is designed for high traffic areas, where resistance to impact is required such as lobbies and hallways.  In addition to sound absorption, this panel also offers a tackable surface.

  • Construction: 6PCF glass fiber core laminated with 1/8″, 16-20PCF high-density impact-resistant glass fiberboard. Full fabric or vinyl warp.
  • Thickness and NRC Ratings: 5/8″, 1 1/8″ (.90-1.00), 1 5/8″, 2 1/8″ (1.15).

Reflective

This panel is used where both sound reflection and absorption is desired such as in recording studios, auditoriums, and theaters.

  • Construction: Optional core material. Full fabric or vinyl wrap.
  • Thickness: 1/2″, 5/8″, 3/4″, 1″, 1 1/2″, 2″.

Tackable

This durable panel is ideal for areas where an economical, custom tack surface is required.

  • Construction: Mineral fiber core. Full fabric or vinyl wrap.
  • Thickness: 3/8″, 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″.

Ultra Ⅰ

This multi-purpose panel is designed for high abuse applications that require high sound absorption.

  • Construction: 6PCF glass fiber core with chemically hardened edges. The glass fiber core is faced with an acoustically transparent, 0.040″ thick, (22%) open perforated, rigid, abuse-resistant vinyl sheet. The composite core is wrapped with fabric. Maximum panel size of 48″x120″ with custom sizes available.
  • Thickness and NRC Ratings: 1 1/16″, 2 1/16″, (.85-1.05).

Standard Wall Panel Specifications

Standard Absorptive:

    • Panel Core: Thickness; 1”, 2”
    • Rigid fiberglass core / 6# density
    • Chemically hardened edges to reinforce panel perimeter against warpage and damage.
    • Maximum size is 48” x 120”.  Larger sizes are available. Please contact the factory for options.

  Edge Details:

    • Standard edge is square detail unless otherwise noted.
    • Optional edge details; Radius, Bevel, Custom.

  Standard Panel Fabrics:

    • Our standard panel fabric is Guilford of Maine / FR-701
    • Fabric Wrap Finish is wrapped onto the back side at least 1”.
    • Fabrics will be glued to the edges and the back of the panel core.
    • Optional fabrics are available.  Optional fabrics must be approved by the factory.

  Standard Mounting:

    • Standard panel mounting method is glue up unless otherwise noted.
    • Optional mounting:  Impaling clips, clip mounting, magnetic.

  Fire Ratings:

    • All components utilized in the construction of these panels meet a Class  1 (0-25) rating as tested by ASTM E-84-81a Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials.
    • Fire Hazard Classification: Class A as determined by ASTM E84.
    • Flame Spread: 25 maximum.
    • Smoke Developed: 450 maximum.

  Noise Reduction:

    • Wall panels have a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) specific to each panel.  See panel details for more information. NRC ratings may vary depending on mounting methods.
    • Ratings are tested per ASTM C423-81a methods.

  Warranty:

    • All Sound Solution panels come with a one-year warranty, starting at the date of installation.
    • Longer warranties are available. Please contact the factory for information.

Quiet Solutions™ Warranty

Quiet Solutions™ warranties its products against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of installation. The materials must be installed in accordance with all applicable installation guidelines in effect at the time of installation.
