From schools and offices to auditoriums and lobbies, our panels are engineered for performance with options for absorption, impact resistance, tackability, reflectivity, and durability.

Custom panel options

Quiet Solutions panels are available in a variety of performance types and finishes to suit your space and acoustic goals.

Panel types & specifications

This is the most installed panel, ideal for walls or ceilings in offices, classrooms, and multipurpose rooms.

Standard absorptive

• Core: 6 Photonic Crystal Fibers (PCF) with reinforced edge protection
• Wrap: Full fabric or vinyl
• NRC Ratings:
◦ ½ inch (10 PCF): 0.55–0.65
◦ 1 inch: 0.80–0.90
◦ 1½ inch: 0.90–1.00
◦ 2 inch: 1.10

Impact resistant

Designed for high-traffic areas like hallways and lobbies where sound absorption and durability are both critical.

• Core: 6 PCF glass fiber laminated with ⅛ inch high-density impact board (16–20 PCF)
• Surface: Tackable
• Wrap: Full fabric or vinyl
• NRC Ratings:
◦ 1 1/8 inch: 0.90–1.00
◦ 2 1/8 inch: 1.15

Reflective

Used where both sound reflection and absorption are required such as in performance spaces, studios, and auditoriums.

• Core: Optional per project
• Wrap: Full fabric or vinyl
• Thickness options in inches: ½”, ⅝”, ¾”, 1″, 1½”, 2″

Tackable

Cost-effective tack surface with acoustic benefit ideal for classrooms and offices.

• Core: Mineral fiber
• Wrap: Full fabric or vinyl
• Thickness options in inches: ⅜”, ½”, ¾”, 1″

Ultra I (high abuse panel)

Engineered for tough environments with high sound absorption demands.

• Core: 6 PCF glass fiber with chemically hardened edges
• Facing: Acoustically transparent, abuse-resistant 0.040″ perforated vinyl sheet
• Wrap: Fabric-wrapped composite
• Max Size: 48 inch x 120 inch (Custom sizes available)
• Thickness: 1 1/16 inch, 2 1/16 inch
• NRC Rating: 0.85–1.05

Standard panel specifications

These apply to most Quiet Solutions wall panels unless otherwise noted.

Panel core

• Rigid fiberglass (6# density), 1 or 2 inches thick
• Chemically hardened edges
• Maximum standard size: 48 inches x 120 inches (larger/custom sizes available)

Edge details

• Standard: Square
• Optional: Radius, Bevel, Custom

Panel fabric options

• Standard: Guilford of Maine FR-701
• Fabric wrap extends 1inch to backside
• Edges/back glued for durability
• Custom fabrics must be factory-approved

Mounting methods

• Standard: Adhesive (glue-up)
• Optional: Impaling clips, mechanical clips, magnetic systems

Fire ratings

• ASTM E84 Class A/Class 1
• Flame Spread: ≤ 25
• Smoke Developed: ≤ 450

Acoustic performance

• NRC ratings vary by thickness and mounting
• Tested to ASTM C423 standards

Warranty

Quiet Solutions™ products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from installation. Panels must be installed per Acoustics Associates’ current guidelines to ensure performance and coverage. For extended warranty options, please contact our team.
